Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Gawafy platform (the “Platform”), operated by Quorax LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Gawafy is a marketplace platform that connects clients seeking home services (cleaning, repairs, beauty, tutoring, caregiving, and pet services) with verified independent professionals in Metro Manila, Philippines. Gawafy is not a service provider — we facilitate the connection between clients and professionals.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Accounts are created through Google or Facebook OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked accounts.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information. Providing false information may result in account termination.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account of the same type (client or professional).

4. Professional Verification

Professionals must complete our verification process before offering services, which includes submission of a valid Government ID, NBI Clearance, Barangay Clearance, and selfie verification. All documents are reviewed by our team. Acceptance is at Gawafy's sole discretion. Gawafy verifies identity and credentials but does not guarantee the quality or outcome of any service performed.

5. Bookings

  • Clients may browse, select, and book professionals through the Platform.
  • A booking is confirmed once payment is received and held in escrow.
  • Clients must provide accurate service location and requirements.
  • Professionals must arrive on time and perform the agreed-upon service to a reasonable standard.

6. Payments & Escrow

  • All payments are processed through PayMongo. Accepted methods include GCash, Maya, Visa, Mastercard, and GrabPay.
  • Payments are held in escrow until the client confirms service completion or 24 hours have elapsed after the scheduled service time, whichever comes first.
  • Gawafy charges a service commission to professionals, starting at 15% and decreasing to a minimum of 8% based on performance and client ratings.
  • Clients are charged the full service fee at the time of booking. No additional fees are charged to clients by Gawafy.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Clients may cancel a booking free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled service time. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
  • If a professional fails to arrive, the client receives an automatic full refund.
  • For quality disputes, clients may open a dispute within 24 hours of service completion. Our team will review and resolve disputes within 48 hours.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Philippine law.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any user.
  • Circumvent the Platform to arrange direct payments and avoid escrow protections.
  • Create fake accounts, submit fraudulent reviews, or manipulate ratings.
  • Share login credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.

9. Limitation of Liability

Gawafy acts as a marketplace platform and is not a party to the service agreement between clients and professionals. To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Gawafy shall not be liable for any damages arising from the services performed by professionals, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or service quality issues. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of the applicable service fee.

10. Intellectual Property

The Gawafy name, logo, and all associated branding, designs, and software are the property of Quorax LLC. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any Gawafy intellectual property without our written consent.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or receive repeated negative reviews. You may delete your account at any time through the Platform settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification.
